“I am still in complete awe from your tour!, Wish I were there to go again right now today you gave me a memory that I will hold to my heart for a very long time!”

Doris Smith, Nevada

Skeleton outline of tour (This does not cover all aspects.)

We cross the Firth of Forth, and travel east to Culross, and view a magnificent prehistoric standing stone en route. Culross is a quaint historically preserved village associated with the founder of Glasgow; Celtic Saint Kentigern or Mungo, and his mentor St Serf. Then we explore a likely early Christian and Templar site close by the splendid thirteenth century Culross abbey. It can be approached by delightful country paths. Jackie has written a booklet for sale on the Culdees. the name ascribed to these early Christians)

Lunch is in Culross itself. or in an Elizabethan herb knot garden, next to Dunfermline Abbey where King Robert the Bruce is buried and Queen Margaret used to live.Queen Margaret is reported to have supported the Culdee movement in Scotland , and her acts of piety are well documented in this town of great character.
