“I
wanted to tell you how much my sister (Lilla) and
I (Inga) enjoyed the tour to Rosslyn chapel and the
other visits we had that day in July. (I wish I had
had a notebook with me to write down some details.)
We were keen to know more about all the historical
facts and the mysteries as well, of the places we
visited that great day. This day made a difference
for me, I am interested in studying more about ley-lines
and geometrics here in Iceland “

Celtic Trails as with all other tours
that include Rosslyn Chapel is the originator of this and other
unique tours. The Rose Line has been mentioned on tours of Rosslyn
since 1999, and in 2006 a full day tour was introduced that traces
the Rose Line within the Edinburgh and Roslin area, a vital ley
line that author Dan Brown writes of in the Da VinciCode as being
on a north-south meridian. This is not strictly true. The line
has been known for many years by those of us researching the local
ley lines. A unique form of "Golden section" extends
from Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh to Rosslyn Chapel. There are several
key locations on and keying into the line that include holy wells,
ruined chapels and ancient monuments erected by the Sinclairs.
The tour will offer you opportunities for "tuning in"
and, if you like, dowsing the carefully researched sites. If you
are a beginner at dowsing you can learn this ancient art on site.
Many have and found it a fun thing to do!
This tour was inaugurated in New Year Day 2006 by an enthusiastic
group from Ireland.
