Celtic Trails offers the original and longest standing tour to Rosslyn: you will benefit from several years of knowledge gained from world experts / friends who have generously given Jackie their mystical knowledge of the chapel and environs, in addition to her own insights. Jackie tailor -makes every tour according to the clients' needs and wishes. She has to comply with current management policies at the chapel so her expertise and insights are shared outside the times the chapel staff are talking.

GOLD STANDARD TOUR is 11am-2.30 and is recommended as then Jackie can then book you a totally private tour of the chapel while the staff are having their lunch break. Jackie is the only tour guide to regularly take clients on a totally individualized tour. This means that instead of seeing the chapel during the times the general public can listen to normal talks given by the chapel staff you are able to follow Jackie uninterruptedly on your own journey round the chapel. She explains the chapel's layout and carvings in spiritual terms, and her research is available in her popular tour guide that is a best seller at the chapel.  There is no extra charge per day for this tour as it is based on genuine research into sacred knowledge.

Rosslyn Chapel is the most historical, mystical and amazing carved Medieval chapel imaginable. It encompasses so many esoteric traditions that words alone cannot do it justice.
In addition to Rosslyn Chapel Jackie knows Roslin Glen and other features such as Rosslyn Castle in the locality very well, and this trail includes information that is part of the whole day tour she offers on Rosslyn Chapel and Midlothian.

The glen is an ancient site of worhsip and is so refreshing and peaceful that it is a must for those who are foot-worthy, as in many ways the chapel is the epitome in stone of the sacred grove, filled with symbolic messages of humanity's rightful relationship with both nature and the angelic realm. Trees, caves, rock formations and running water all serve to regenerate your body and soul as you walk through Hawthornden Glen (alternative name for Roslin Glen).
