The Trails
Brides Cross

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a special experience. What did I learn? Mostly I learned how much I don't know - and want to know about.  That I hope will happen over time.  I can't wait to see how all my gravestone pictures will come out.   You'll laugh at some of the memories that pop to the surface

the sheep-watching of course,                                the smell of the gorse,
the tranquility of the beehive stone cell,
discovering I like the historic Culdees,
the special feeling of Cairnpapple,
my complete failure at dowsing while others demonstrated it could be done!
being totally blown away on entering Rosslyn Chapel,
and so many more,
but mostly - the real pleasure of your company."

Elizabeth Campbell New York

MontageThese unique trails range from highly half day trails of Ancient Edinburgh and Rosslyn Chapel (Jackie provides the original external tour there that relates well to  her popular guide that sells in the chapel) and whole day tours of early Celtic Christianity and prehistoric sites nearby to Edinburgh,to longer tours of Templar sites and earlier sites in southern Scotland or Highland Perthshire and the Hebrides.. The emphasis is on providing a memorable personalized tour that is unique and informed in its chosen itinerary and content. Customers will treasure their experience for many years, and will wish to return for more.

Most day trails are flexible with short walks and short drives, while the local sites are thematically linked according to your interests and the history. Pick-up is from your accommodation or a central city point close by. "Dowsing" with rods or pendulums at certain sites is always available as a fun element for those who would wish to, as a way of tuning into the earth energies present. Naturally, everyone is free to find their own way of engaging with the sites. Notes and maps are provided for the trails.

If you are interested in gardens or walking there are few other choices! For genealogy and self-drive please see the front page for links to these respective pages. Here is a summary of the tour types in the margin to the right:
